Dr. Tejaswi Katravulapally
Dr. Tejaswi Katravulapally works at the confluence of Quantum Physics and the Indian Knowledge Systems — trying, in his own small way, to restore the unity between knowledge (jñāna) and lived wisdom. His research years were spent in atomic physics; his evenings, in the śāstras and on the Carnatic flute. Arka is where that work finally meets the sky.
He came to Jyotiṣa with two gurus. In astrology his teacher in person is Sri N.S.S. Ram of Visakhapatnam, at whose side he learned to actually read a chart; and Master E.K. (Sri Ekkirala Krishnamacharya) is his guru by way of his books — the teacher met on the page, in whose lineage this school stands. He still reads the chart as he was taught: the harmonious integration of spiritual realization with a responsible worldly life. That two-lensed reading is the whole spirit of this school.

No language model is called, and nothing you enter is sent anywhere to be interpreted. Positions come from a modern ephemeris of arcsecond class — the same arithmetic an observatory uses — and every surface that gives a reading states the frame it speaks in — the ayanāṁśa, and the house system beside it — because a number without its frame is not a fact. Arka’s houses are whole-sign: the rising sign entire as the first, each following sign the next, and every reading on this site is made that way. Bhāva-chalit — houses cut on the cusps — is now built, on Śrīpati cusps, but it stands in your chart as a cross-check beside the whole-sign count and never underneath it: no reading here is derived from a cusp, and the panel says as much itself. The western dossier, which is a western reading, says Placidus in the same line.
