On the last three readings

The classical canon counts nine grahas and ends at Rāhu and Ketu. Varuṇa, Indra and Yama are not used in the extant classical nine-graha framework and appear in no classical text — those three readings are this house's own synthesis (Arka · experimental), held as a generational undertone rather than as personal character, and nothing else in this dossier rests on them.

No planet in this chart casts a strong glance on another, and none share a rāśi — the grahas work largely on their own, each in its own house. That is itself a reading: a life of relatively independent faculties, less woven together by inner dialogue than most.

Colour is the graha’s dignity in that division — green for exalted, own sign or mūlatrikoṇa; gold for a friend’s sign; red for an enemy’s sign or its fall. marks vargottama: the same rāśi in the birth-chart and the navāṃśa, the one pairing the tradition gives that name to. marks a graha that keeps its birth rāśi in some other division — steadying, but not vargottama. The last row is the viṃśopaka: each column’s dignities weighted by the strength the tradition assigns that division (the small figure beside each name) and summed toward twenty.

XThe Areas of Life
जीवनक्षेत्र

Now the chart is read field by field — for each domain of life, the life itself first, and the reasoning that reads it beneath. A field the chart favours is ground already prepared; one it guards asks more of the will.

Each field is read on three axes, and they are independent of one another. Prominence is how much of the chart actually stands in its houses; support is what the testimonies weigh for and against it; activation is whether a dated window touches it inside your horizon. A prominent field can be poorly supported, and a well-supported one can lie quiet for years — which is why one badge could never say all three.

एक विनम्र सत्य — an honest word

This reading is computed — every position, dignity, strength and period above is real arithmetic on the sky of your birth, not guesswork. What it weighs are tendencies: the pulls a chart is born with, some strong and rare, some faint and common. It marks which are which, and never claims to name a dated event — the sky inclines, it does not compel.

Some of what is written here survives any convention — a planet's retrogression, its combustion, the angle between two planets, the daśā period — these are frame-free. Others depend on the sidereal offset (the ayanāṁśa) that sets each sign and house; near a boundary they can shift. The strongest calls are the ones the frame-free and frame-bound testimonies both make.

A chart is a map, not a verdict. A living reader — who knows your questions, your season, your will — completes what these pages begin. Bring this to one; it is the ground they will stand on, not the last word.

VThe Conversations
the angles between the planets

Orb doctrine, declared: degree-based orbs from one table — conjunction and opposition 8°, trine and square 7°, sextile 5° — applied alike to every pair; not planetary moieties, not sign-witnessing. An aspect is applying when the faster body is still closing on the exact angle, separating once past it. Rows marked modern involve Uranus, Neptune or Pluto and belong to the modern layer.

A coda, not a testimony

Everything above is read by rule — a placement, a dignity, an angle, each with its working shown beside it. This last section is not of that kind. It is a devotional layer laid over the same chart by a modern school, offered as contemplation rather than as evidence: nothing in the reading above rests on it, no verdict changes if you set it aside, and it makes no claim about how far along a soul has come.

An honest word

This is the Western reading — cast in the tropical (sāyana) zodiac, where the signs are tied to the seasons and the equinox, not the fixed stars, and the houses are drawn by Placidus. It reads by Sun, Moon and Rising, the elements and modes, the leading planet, and the angles the planets make to one another.

The nakṣatras, the daśā periods and the yogas belong to the sidereal (nirāyana) sky and are not shown here — switch to the Indian lens above to read those. Same birth, same instant; two traditions, each whole in itself.
