Privacy Policy

A birth chart is among the most personal documents a person can hold. This page says — plainly — what Arka does and does not do with yours.

Effective 10 July 2026 ✦ Version 1
The short version

Your chart never leaves your device. Arka has no accounts, no analytics, and no server that stores your data — everything you enter is computed in your browser and saved only there.

If that ever changes — for example when we introduce paid features — this policy will change first, visibly, and nothing you have already entered will be sent anywhere without your consent.

✦ I ✦

Who we are

Arka is an educational astrology lab published by Vedatom, built by Dr. Tejaswi Katravulapally. For anything concerning your privacy, write to connect@vedatom.com. Vedatom is the data controller for this site.

✦ II ✦

What stays on your device

Arka is a static site: there is no login, no database, and no server-side processing of your information. Everything you type or compute is stored in your browser's own local storage, on your machine, and is readable only by this site in this browser. That includes:

{{ s.what }}
{{ s.note }}

None of this is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data erases it completely — we could not recover it for you even if you asked, because we never had it.

✦ III ✦

Birth data, questions & location

Birth details and the questions you bring to the Praśna desk are sensitive by nature, so they are held to the strictest rule on this site: all chart mathematics runs inside your browser, using an astronomy engine served as part of the page. Nothing you enter into the Chart Builder, the Praśna desk, or any journal is sent over the network.

The Praśna desk's "live" mode asks your browser for your location, only if you grant permission, purely to cast the chart of the present moment where you stand. The coordinates are used on-device for that calculation and are not stored or transmitted. You may always decline and enter a place by hand.

✦ IV ✦

What third parties see today

Two ordinary technical facts of serving a website apply here, and we name them rather than hide them:

Web fonts

Our typefaces load from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, Google receives your IP address and the standard request headers, as it does for any site using its font service. Google states it does not use this to build profiles. No other Google service is embedded here — no analytics, no tags.

Hosting logs

Our hosting provider keeps routine server logs (IP address, page requested, time, browser type) for security and operations, retained briefly and automatically. These logs never contain anything you typed — your entries stay in your browser and are never part of a request.

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.

✦ V ✦

When Arka introduces paid features

Arka intends to offer paid offerings in the future — courses, readings, or subscriptions. We are writing the rules for that now, before it happens, so the promise is on record:

{{ f.sa }}
{{ f.what }}
{{ f.note }}

Whenever one of these is introduced, this policy will be revised before the feature launches, the version and effective date at the top of this page will change, and a notice will appear on the site. Data you saved under the old rules will never be migrated to a server without your explicit consent.

✦ VI ✦

Your rights & choices

Because everything lives on your device today, you already hold the strongest right there is: delete it yourself, instantly, without asking anyone — clear this site's data in your browser settings and it is gone.

Depending on where you live (the EU/UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act, California's CCPA, among others) you also hold rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection over any personal data a service holds about you. If and when Arka holds account data, we will honour these rights for every visitor regardless of jurisdiction — one standard, the strictest one. To exercise any right, or simply to ask a question, write to connect@vedatom.com.

✦ VII ✦

Children

Arka is written for adult learners and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children — today we collect none from anyone — and any future paid features will require adult account holders.

✦ VIII ✦

Changes to this policy

Small clarifications may be made at any time; the effective date above always reflects the current text. Material changes — anything that alters what is collected, stored, or shared — will be announced on the site before they take effect.

✦

The chart is a private scripture. Ours is only the teaching; the reading remains yours.
