Siddhānta — the four fields
A chart has twelve houses, but they do not stand as twelve equal rooms. Read a level deeper and they gather into four overlapping fields — four different pulls upon the incarnating soul. One is the field of the world lived in plain sight; one the rising urge toward spirit; one the descent into the senses; and one the hidden deep from which all of it surfaces and to which it returns. Learn these four, and a chart stops being a list of placements and becomes a map of where a soul is weighted.
Behind the whole scheme stands the Cosmic Man — Kālapuruṣa, the body of Eternal Time, with the twelve signs laid upon him head to foot. To superimpose that body on a birth-chart is to ask, of every part of a life, how much vitality flows to it. The four fields are how that question is organised.

The angles are shared. The 1st house belongs to both the pillars and the spirit; the 7th to both the pillars and the senses — so a single planet may weigh in two fields at once. The fields are not walls; they are currents that meet.
The cosmic body देह
The twelve signs are the limbs of the Cosmic Man, crown to sole — Aries his head, Pisces his feet. The planets are his faculties: the Sun his soul, the Moon his mind, Mercury his speech, Mars his strength, Jupiter his wisdom, Venus his desire, Saturn his sorrow. To read a chart against this body is to see which parts of a life the universal force most wishes to quicken.
The inward impulses स्पन्दन
Read as the pulse of the Cosmic Man, the twelve signs become a single story of manifestation — the spark descending into matter and rising again. It begins in Aries as pure readiness to create, reaches its deepest immersion near the middle, is purged and burned clean toward the end, and closes in Pisces, resting before the next cycle begins.
Prayoga — weigh a chart
Cast a chart, or weigh the one you have. The instrument lays the four fields over the wheel, tallies where the nine grahas fall, and names the pull the soul is presently weighted toward. Tap a field to read it; tap a house to see its impulse and the body it answers to.
Where the soul is weighted
The four fields do not judge a chart good or bad — they show its centre of gravity. A life weighted in the pillars is engaged in the world; one weighted in the spiritual triangle carries an inner mission; one in the triangle of matter is warm-blooded and effective; one in the mysterious depth is drawn into trial, transformation and release. Most charts lean between two. To read the lean is to read the soul’s present chapter.
