The Reading above is whole-sign throughout — bhāva = rāśi — and nothing on this page is judged from a cusp. This panel cuts the same chart the other way and names only what changes. That is the classical use of a chalit chakra: it shows which placements sit near a boundary and would be read differently if the houses were cut instead of counted, and those are the ones to hold loosely.

The cells keep their rāśi labels in both views; it is the grahas that move. The lagna cell is the first bhāva either way.
Śrīpati paddhati. The four angles — lagna, MC, descendant, IC — are taken as bhāva madhyas, the reference points of the 1st, 10th, 7th and 4th; each quadrant between them is cut in three, and every bhāva runs halfway to the madhya on either side. So the lagna is not the edge of the first bhāva but its middle marker — and a bhāva is only symmetric about its madhya when the two quadrants beside it happen to be equal.
Why not Placidus
Placidus house division is Kṛṣṇamūrti Paddhati’s house division, and this school excludes KP by name — not from ignorance, but because it deserves to be learned whole rather than raided for a part. Cutting bhāvas on Placidus cusps and calling the result chalit would take the exact fragment we decline to take. Śrīpati is what a chalit chakra means in the classical Indian tradition, so Śrīpati is what this computes. The western dossier, which is a western reading, still says Placidus in its own frame line.
One thing this panel does not depend on: the ayanāṁśa. The cusps and the grahas shift together by the same constant, so the chalit column reads the same under Lahiri, Rāman, KP or Fagan–Bradley. The rāśi column beside it does not have that property — a different ayanāṁśa can carry a graha across a sign boundary and change the count.

Both lenses fall from one engine: switch the Zodiac control to see the wheel in Sāyana (Western tropical); the Rāśi columns above always show both. Both lenses use one astronomical engine. Angular separations — tithi, karaṇa, planet-to-planet aspects — do not change when the zodiac display is shifted. Nakṣatra, nitya-yoga and the Vimśottarī balance stay anchored to Arka's Nirayana (Lahiri) framework; they are not reinterpreted as tropical doctrine. Timezone here is the standard offset — adjust it for a summer birth. The Reading composes established technique (lagna-lord, graha-in-bhāva, daśā) traced to the project's sources; cross-checked against Parāśara's Light / Jagannātha Horā in Phase E.
